New fretboard confidence
I have been using Levi's practice routines for some time now. It has given me a new way to look at the fretboard, giving me more confidence when improvising.

Play the scale in all five shapes, in groups of four and in thirds.
Take every shape through all 12 keys, in time with the band.
Mix the scale with triad arpeggios in runs that cross the whole neck.
Includes interactive tab
Every routine comes with tab synced to the video. Set it up your way and practice until it feels easy.
Inside the course
Each lesson shows you the idea, then you play the routine along with Levi over a backing track.
Routines 1-3 · Home shapes
The three shapes Levi plays in most, in C over a C, Am, F, G backing. Each one runs the scale, then groups of four down and up.
Routines 4-5 · Full neck
The last two shapes, so the scale covers the whole neck. Levi names the notes by number as he goes, and you do the same.
Routine 6 · Sequence
One melodic sequence, played through all five shapes in a single routine. You learn the sound of the idea, not a fingering.
Routine 7 · Melodies
Four short melodies over the backing track, with trills and slides into the third. They show how the scale turns into phrases.
Routines 8-9 · 12 keys
Around the circle of fourths, first in three shapes, then in all five, moving up a fret at a time. About 10 minutes of steady picking each.
Routines 10-11 · 3 notes per string
The patterns shred players use, in even 16ths. Then up one shape, down the next, all the way up the neck.
Lesson · Position shifts
How Levi slides from one position to the next on any string. No play-along here, just ideas to try on your own.
Routine 12 · The real way to practice
Up the triad, down the scale, in the A, E and C shapes. It ends with a short etude that runs down the whole neck.
